Mark Webster and Leyland Paints have announced an extension to their partnership, which sees the Yorkshire based paint company continue to sponsor the Welsh ace for a further year.

Leyland, who joined forces with Webster and Simon Whitlock in 2011, is delighted to remain at the heart of one of the UK’s fastest growing sports, which is attracting bumper television audiences and regularly packing out some of the UK’s biggest arenas.

“Leyland Paints enjoyed a fantastic year in darts,” said Victoria Jones, Stockist Brand Marketing Manager.

“To be firmly at the heart of a sport which is constantly seeing its popularity grow, has provided us with a unique and exciting opportunity.

“Mark and Simon have been excellent darting ambassadors for Leyland Paints and we are thrilled to be involved in the sport again for 2013.”

Webster was part of the Welsh team which reached the semi-finals of the World Cup of Darts in 2012.

He also hit a perfect nine-dart finish during the PDC season and the Welshman is upbeat about the year ahead.

“I’ve been pleased with my form over the last couple of months and I’m looking to kick on in the New Year,” said the 29-year-old from Denbigh.

“Leyland is a huge paint brand. I’ve been proud to be associated with them over the last 12 months and it will be the same for 2013.”

Webster will again be in action at the World Cup of Darts in Germany at the start of February.
