Mark Webster has vowed to draw on past memories as he aims to put Wales on top of the darting world in Germany this weekend.

Webster, from Denbigh, will be making his fourth appearance in the World Cup of Darts in Hamburg having gone to the brink of victory in his three previous outings.

Webster, who is sponsored by leading trade paint manufacturer Leyland Paints, reached the final with Barrie Bates in 2010 and has gone to the semi-final in the last two years with Richie Burnett – who he will be teaming up with again in this year’s event. (more…)

Rejuvenated Mark Webster is aiming to continue his darting revival as he makes his first televised appearance of 2014 this weekend.

The 30-year-old from Denbigh heads to the UK Open in Minehead full of confidence after his brilliant return to form at the World Championships over Christmas, where he reached the quarter-final.

The Welshman continued that excellent run throughout the UK Open qualifiers, reaching the last 16 three times and quarter finals once  to finish 19th on the order of merit after six events. (more…)

Mark Webster’s excellent World Darts Championship campaign came to an end as he was edged out by Michael van Gerwen in a thrilling encounter on Sunday evening.

Webster, who had reached the last eight by defeating van Gerwen’s Dutch compatriot Raymond van Barneveld, fell 3-0 and 4-1 behind but fought back brilliantly before eventually losing out 5-3. (more…)

Mark Webster claimed a brilliant victory over five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld to move into the quarter-finals of the World Darts Championship on Friday evening.

Mark Webster won through to the second round of the World Championship after coming out on top in an exciting opener against Mensur Suljovic.

Mark Webster bowed out of the Grand Slam after being denied a route through to the quarter-finals by Scott Waites on Wednesday.

The former World Champion had defeated Wes Newton and Ross Smith to reach the last 16 but could not see off the 2010 winner, losing out 10-6 after Waites won the final four legs to progress. (more…)

Mark Webster progressed to the last 16 of the Grand Slam in dramatic style, winning a nine-dart shoot-out against Wes Newton after the pair ended the group stage tied on points and leg difference.

Webster, who had already beaten Newton but lost to Simon Whitlock prior to a decisive evening on Monday, claimed a 5-3 win against Ross Smith to boost his chances of qualification in his final Group G match.

But Newton’s 5-4 win against Whitlock left them at deadlock, setting up the shoot-out which the Welshman won convincingly.

Mark Webster gave his hopes of progressing from a tough Grand Slam of Darts group a brilliant boost by defeating world number eight Wes Newton in his opening match.

The Welsh left-hander raced back from being two legs behind to seal the win, hitting a sensational 164 checkout along the way.
