Mark Webster World Darts Championship Second Round (Lawrence Lustig, PDC)MARK WEBSTER charged past Terry ‘The Bull’ Jenkins to book his place in the third round of the World Darts Championship with a straight sets victory at London’s Alexandra Palace on Monday.

The Welsh ace, who has twice reached the semi-finals of the sport’s show-piece tournament, dropped just four legs as he set up a last 16 clash with Alan Norris.

“I played steady darts and I’m pleased to be through,” said Webster, the 2008 Lakeside Champion.

“It didn’t look brilliant but I got the job done. I’ve been working hard on getting my game right for a while now. I had issues with my technique which I’m still in the process of correcting but I’m making it work for me at the moment. The next match is a real opportunity for me or Alan and hopefully I’ll take it.”

Former Lakeside Champion Webster will return to action Wednesday evening as he bids to reach the quarter-finals.
